Welcome To Our WebsiteUpdated Saturday July 8, 2017 by Greenville Hurricane Athletics.
The Greenville Hurricanes are the teams that make up the athletic program of the Upstate Homeschool Co-Op (UHC). In an effort to enrich our co-op opportunities and deepen our sense of community, the UHC Board of Directors unanimously approved adding the Greenville Homeschool Hurricanes sports program, starting in the fall of 2008.
The Hurricanes offer Volleyball, Tackle Football, Spring Soccer, Archery, Basketball, Baseball, Cheer and Cross Country at the middle school and high school levels. This program is not exclusive to UHC co-op member families; it is open to the greater homeschooling community, as well as athletes in traditional school settings whose school does not offer the sport in which they wish to participate.* Home schooled athletes must have evidence that they are legally home schooling.
Hurricane teams are highly competitive in nature and will be competing against charter, private, public and homeschool teams in South Carolina and occasionally in North Carolina and Georgia.
*At times, Hurricanes sports teams may choose to become part of a conference in order to participate in games, tournaments, and other special events. If and when this happens, that sports team will be governed by the approved conference, including, but not limited to player eligibility, method of education, age requirements, grade expectations, number of required games, and additional, expanded, or altered rules.
