Hurricane Sports offers soccer in the spring. The sport is offered for home schooled students, as well as traditionally schooled students whose school does not offer soccer.

LittleCanes Soccer Season 2025

Hurricanes' LittleCanes Soccer is our program for homeschooled 5th and 6th grade boys and girls looking to begin to participate in the Hurricane Soccer program. Registration has been open for returning families, and there are currently 10 spots remaining open.

LittleCanes is a developmental soccer program, focused on learning and developing as a player to prepare for the next level of soccer. See info below.

WHO: Boys and girls who are homeschooled and currently in 5th or 6th grade

PRACTICES:

Begin on 2/25
Tuesday & Thursday nights through the end of April
Location - Pavilion Park Soccer Fields (400 Scottswood Road, Taylors, SC)

GAMES: Games will be played on Saturdays. The schedule will be available on the TeamSnap app as games are scheduled.

COACHES:

Jackson Dunn - Head Coach

COST: $150 (includes practice jersey, with the option of purchasing an additional practice jersey)

We are excited to announce our 2024 Soccer Alumni Game! Please read all the information below. All alumni must be signed up in order to participate!! (Signup link at the end of this email.)

Where will the Alumni Games be held?

Trailblazer Park - Upper Field (235 Trailblazer Drive, Travelers Rest, SC)
- VG @ 5:30pm
- VB @ 7:00pm

What is the uniform for the Alumni Games?

Alumni players will wear WHITE shirts for the game (numbers optional). Old jerseys will be available.
VG & VB teams will wear RED shirts.

SOCCER KICK AROUNDS 2024

Hurricanes Soccer is inviting all 6th to 12th grade soccer players interested (or slightly interested) in playing Hurricane Soccer in the spring to be a part of our upcoming Soccer Kick Arounds! We will organize games, taking into account player size and skill.

What are Kick Arounds?
Playing soccer for love of game without expectations or pressure. Players can use the time to either decompress from their fall soccer seasons, or they can use this as an opportunity to shake off the rust. It is also a time to reconnect (or connect) with the Hurricane Soccer community.

When are Kick Arounds?
12/6 & 12/13, 6:30-8pm
Players are encouraged to arrive early. Kick Arounds will begin promptly at 6:30pm.

Where will Kick Arounds be held?
Kick Arounds will be at the Pavilion Outdoor Soccer Fields (400 Scottswood Rd., Taylors)

What should I bring to Kick Arounds?
Please bring shin guards, soccer shoes, and drinking water. All players are strongly encouraged to wear shin guards during kick arounds.

What is the cost?
Cost is only $6 per date. This will help defer the cost of the rental and keep our season registration cost low.

About The Canes

Greenville Hurricane Athletics is a 501(c)(3) organization created to provide athletic opportunities to elementary, middle school and high school students. This athletic program is open to the greater homeschooling community and private, Christian, Charter or alternative education groups that may not offer that particular sport in their own organization.
