TRACK & FIELD SEASON
Hurricanes Track & Field is offered to 6th-12th grade athletes who are homeschooled or traditionally schooled and who do not have a Track & Field program available in their school. Pre-season practices begin next month. It's exciting to see how this program continues to develop and strengthen. We're looking forward to another awesome season!

Important Dates:
Optional Pre-Season Practice Starts - 12/3/24
Mandatory Season Practice Starts - 1/13/24
Costs:

  • Registration - $250 (7th-12th) / $150 (6th)
  • Sibling Dicount - $25 Discount for each additional sibling (7th-12th)

    • Black Spandex Shorts (girls) - $20
    • Track Suit - $75  //  Track Jacket - $45  //  Track Pants - $30

SOCCER KICKAROUNDS 2024

Hurricanes Soccer is inviting all 6th to 12th grade soccer players interested (or slightly interested) in playing Hurricane Soccer in the spring to be a part of our upcoming Soccer Kick Arounds! We will organize games, taking into account player size and skill.

What are Kick Arounds?
Playing soccer for love of game without expectations or pressure. Players can use the time to either decompress from their fall soccer seasons, or they can use this as an opportunity to shake off the rust. It is also a time to reconnect (or connect) with the Hurricane Soccer community.

When are Kick Arounds?
12/6 & 12/13,  6:30-8pm
Players are encouraged to arrive early. Kick Arounds will begin promptly at 6:30pm.

Where will Kick Arounds be held?
Kick Arounds will be at the Pavilion Outdoor Soccer Fields (400 Scottswood Rd., Taylors)

What should I bring to Kick Arounds?
Please bring shin guards, soccer shoes, and drinking water. All players are strongly encouraged to wear shin guards during kick arounds.

What is the cost? 
Cost is only $6 per date. This will help defer the cost of the rental and keep our season registration cost low.

HURRICANES ONE-DAY TRACK & FIELD CAMP

Are you interested in Track & Field? Want to try the different events? Join us for a One-Day Track & Field Camp to experience the sport and learn new skills or improve your skills! All the information is below, and let us know if you have questions.

WHAT:  One-Day Track & Field Camp
WHO:  6th-12th graders who are homeschooled or who attend a school which does not offer Track & Field
WHEN:  Saturday, November 16, 9am-3pm
WHERE:  Furman University Track
COST:  $35 (1st sibling - $30 / 2nd and additional siblings - $25)
LUNCH / SNACKS:  Each athlete is asked to bring their own lunch and water bottle. Additional snacks and water will be provided.
WEAR:  Please dress warmly. Layers prevent injury and are removable if you get too hot.
SCHEDULE:  There will be a morning and afternoon session, with a break for lunch in between. Throughout the day, athletes will have the opportunity to learn and participate in the following events:  long jump, javelin, shot put, discus, sprints and relays.
T-SHIRT:  A fun Track & Field Camp t-shirt will be available to purchase at the track!

MARKSMANSHIP SEASON 2024/25

WHO: The team includes Elementary (4th & up), Middle, and High School student athletes who practice and compete on the Hurricanes Marksmanship Team.

WHAT: We are a Marksmanship skill development program through training, practice and local competitions, leading to State, Regional and National Championship matches.

WHEN: The season runs from September through December for everyone on the team. For those that desire to compete at a higher level, we continue January through July.

WHERE: The 2 main training locations are SharpShooters Indoor Range in Greenville, and Speedway Gun Range in Travelers Rest.

HOW MUCH: The season fee is $500
