HURRICANES TRACK & FIELD 2024/25
Hurricanes Track & Field is offered to 6th-12th grade athletes who are homeschooled or traditionally schooled and who do not have a Track & Field program available in their school. Pre-season practices begin next month. It's exciting to see how this program continues to develop and strengthen. We're looking forward to another awesome season!

PRACTICE INFORMATION:
Pre-Season Practice: Start date 12/3 (coaches will provide workouts for off days)
- Tuesdays, 4-5:30pm
- Thursdays, 4-5:30pm
- Saturdays, 9am-12noon
Regular Season Practice - Start date 1/13
- Running Practice: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, 4-6pm
- Throwing Practice: Mondays, Thursdays, 4-6pm
- Jump Practice: TBD (2 days per week)
- All Athletes: Saturdays, 9am-12noon
Locations include but are not limited to: Unity Park, Legacy Park, Greer City Park, League Academy, Greer High School
**Attendance Requirements for Regular Season practice - You must be present for at least 3 practices out of the week, unless you have talked to the coaches and made arrangements. One of these practices must be a Saturday practice, where the team will be on the track. Practices which are mandatory for time trials, 100m relay handoffs, hurdle practice, etc. will be determined and then posted at the beginning of each week.
**Clothing requirements - It is mandatory to wear long sleeves and long pants to practice throughout pre-season and winter months. You may take the long sleeve and long pants off at some point during practice if you get hot.
**Bring to practice - water, yoga mat or towel
UNIFORM:
- Long-sleeved dri-fit - included in registration fee (new athletes only)
- Returning male athletes -
- Jersey - Same UA jerseys as last season (pictured below). May purchase a new jersey if needed.
- Shorts - May wear their own black shorts or choose to purchase black uniform shorts.
- Returning female athletes -
- Jersey - Same UA jerseys as last season (pictured below). May purchase a new jersey if needed.
- Shorts - May wear their own black shorts or 4" inseam black spandex shorts. May choose to purchase black uniform shorts.
- New male athletes -
- Jersey - Required to purchase a jersey.
- Shorts - May wear their own black shorts OR purchase black uniform shorts.
- New female athletes -
- Jersey - Required to purchase a jersey.
- Shorts - May wear their own black shorts, 4" inseam spandex shorts, OR purchase black uniform shorts
- Optional Track Suit - Athletes have the option to purchase a team track suit, consisting of jacket and pants with Canes Track logo on the jacket. Pants have zippers on the side, making them easier to take off over running shoes or spikes. Jacket and pants can also be purchased separately.
